Palmer Sugg

 

Palmer Sugg joined the Firm in 1989 and has developed a deep and broad-based commercial litigation background, which includes jury trials in State and Federal Courts throughout North Carolina.

 

In addition to negotiating, drafting and litigating contracts in a variety of commercial contexts, Palmer also regularly defends design professionals and contractors from claims arising from design and construction defects. Additionally, Palmer represents various local entities and interest groups before State and Federal legislative bodies and regularly serves as a counsel to persons and businesses with matters before State Regulatory bodies.

 

Prior to joining the Firm, Palmer served on the staff of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Separation of Powers; he also served as a member of the North Carolina Rules Review Commission.

 

Palmer is admitted to practice in North Carolina state courts as well as the United States District Courts and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
