Charles Wilkins, Attorney at Law

Charles P. Wilkins is licensed in North Carolina and is admitted to practice in North Carolina’s State and Federal Courts as well as the United States Supreme Court.

 

He is a native of Smithfield, North Carolina and a graduate of UNC and UNC School of Law. Following a year working with Judge Walter Brock at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, he joined the firm.  Charles has a long history and successful experience in civil litigation and personal injury defense having represented North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company and other insurance carriers since 1970. He is also General Counsel to two professional licensing boards. He conducts disciplinary hearings before professional licensing boards and represents individuals, small businesses and boards before other State agencies. Charles handles defense and plaintiff litigation matters. His practice concentrates primarily in the areas of civil litigation and administrative law. His clients include individuals, small business owners, corporations, partnerships and professional licensing boards. Charles has litigated cases all over North Carolina in both State and Federal court. In addition to his trial work, Charles has extensive experience in both mediation and arbitration of personal injury and professional licensing matters.

 

Charles has an extensive history in North Carolina banking, having served on the Board of Directors of First National Bank of Smithfield, Planters Bank, Centura Bank and as a founding director of CapStone Bank.
